GOOD TIMES BLUES & SWAMPY SOUTHERN SOUL
Kicking off with their sellout debut show at Butchers Brew Bar in July 2023 the Repeat Offenders have rapidly made their mark on the blues scene, performing at Thredbo Blues Festival 2024, Cronulla Jazz & Blues Festival 2024 and many of Sydney’s cool live music venues. Repeat Offenders are armed and funky with a focus on good times blues and swampy Southern Soul. This solid bunch will stand and deliver a set that is guaranteed to get you in the groove for some hip shakin', toe tappin' fun. You will hear classic tunes from the likes of Keb Mo, Big Maybelle, Bobby Bland, Betty Harris, Solomon Burke, Bonnie Raitt and Albert King plus some high quality originals blended into the mix.
Repeat Offenders are fronted by blues royalty, Sally King who has been wowing audiences with her dynamic vocals and stage presence going on five decades, along-side many of the greats of Australian blues including Shane Pacey, Clayton Doley and Dave Brewer. Sally says “It's such a buzz to be able to make music with these venerables of the Australian music scene”.
Rosscoe Clark on drums, has played stellar shows at Bluesfest 2024 in Dom Turner’s Rural Blues Project and recently completed a two week tour with USA great, Chris Cain. He is five times consecutive winner of Sydney Blues Society's Favourite Drummer award and is laying down all the funky grooves in this bluesy repertoire.
Journeyman David Green on bass is always in the pocket and ready to hold the groove down. David has worked with the likes of Seals & Croft, Hot City Bump Band, Broderick Smith, John Farnham and Russell Morris.
Gary Lothian on guitar has elements of sweetness and heat, such an accomplished player who embellishes his playing with slide and wah pedal. Gary spent many years on the tools in Cyril B Bunter Band and is a dab hand at cranking out the boogie riffs.
Putting this outfit together was on Rosscoe Clark's bucket list, bringing old friends and partners in crime together to form the Repeat Offenders. A new outfit with a pedigree line-up of old hands who just keep on coming back with a vengeance.
