About our presenter Jill Williams -

Jill was accepted into the Canberra School of Music (Jazz Vocals) in the early 1990s as a student of Gery Scott and has performed and collaborated with fellow musicians ever since.

Early performances include:

Canberra School of Music CD “Together”

Tin Pan Alley (Top of the Cross)

Between the Champagne and Gossip (School of Arts Cafe)

Melody Magic (Primary Schools and Westfield)

In the early 2000s, Jill stepped back from performing to teach and coach.  She taught primarily at The Music Learning Centre and a year at Llewellyn Hall (Jazz Vocals) and coaching “Sweet Mischief” and Musical Director for “The Dark Side Divas”.

In 2012 Jill returned to performing with Karen Bradley, Lisa McClelland and Gaye Reid as “The Marvellous MizDemeanours” with John Hill on piano and Ben Schuman on drums.  “The Marvellous MizDemeanours” performed around Australia including Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle, Brisbane, South Coast as well as Canberra. During this time Jill was collaborating with Karen Bradley on an original Australian musical comedy called “Winging My Way to the Top” which ran at the “Q” Theatre Queanbeyan for two weeks in 2014. Jill and Karen co-wrote 13 of the original songs and the book for that show.
